Applying the concepts talked about in each session. See the class sessions as "the theory" and the time between sessions as "the practice."Class Experience
Being a real leader begins by building one's character. As you build your character, people will naturally look up to you. I call this work an "inside job." In four weekly, 20 minute, individual mentoring sessions, the student will engage in dialogue with me about what it means to have a good character. Our focus will be on actions and behaviors the student can engage in themself. The positive character traits of honesty and integrity will form the foundation of our work together, on top of which we will talk about attitude and learning from our mistakes. Although this class will unfold based on the experiences of the student thus allowing me to respond to their unique situation, parents and students can expect a structure somewhat like the following: Week One - Honesty & Integrity - Be honest in your words and actions as well as doing what you said you would do in the way it is meant to be done. Week Two - Attitude - Understanding the importance of maintaining a positive attitude. Week Three - Making Mistakes is Okay - We grow and learn by making mistakes and revising our actions based on reflecting on them. Week Four - Review - Looking back over what was learned in the course of our 4 weeks together. As a wrap-up, I'll talk about the difference between being a good leader and simply having power. Please note, this class is not a replacement for therapy. ----- A NOTE ABOUT THE COST OF THIS CLASS: I know the price of my classes is higher than many others on Outschool. As an experienced and talented educator, I believe I'm worth this amount and invite you to look at my reviews. That said, I don't want any family to be priced out of what I offer. Whatever your financial situation, if you're interested in one or more of my classes, please reach out and let me know what you can afford. I can provide coupons, refunds, and/or reductions, and am confident we can find an equitable rate that works for you and me.
