Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this one-time intermediate Spanish class for 2nd graders, the student will learn how to discuss their favorite hobby using visuals and a fill in the blank template. First, we will use several visuals to explore hobbies. Second, we will make a list of 2-3 favorite hobbies. Next, we will order the hobbies from least favorite to most favorite. Finally, the learner will use the following template to discuss their favorite hobby. Hi, my name is _________. My favorite hobby is __________. Hola, me llamo _______. Mi pasatiempo favorito es _________. The visuals of hobbies that we will discuss include the following: Singing Dancing Reading Writing Running My goal and expectation is to have a challenging and fun class that builds confidence in students so that they can discuss their favorite hobby in Spanish. I teach in English, and students are not expected to know any Spanish.
Learning Goals
Students will use complete sentences to discuss their favorite hobby.
