Welcome to Mrs. D's Art Room where it is always a good day when you are learning something new. In this one-time class, young artists will use step-by-step instructions to draw and paint a cute cat painting in acrylics and we will learn some fun facts about the animal. I will share some cat paintings of famous artist Henri Matisse during the class for inspiration. I will share a few interesting acrylic painting techniques such as 1. Students will understand some basics of drawing an animal using easy-to-follow steps and learn new techniques for coloring with two different mediums together, like acrylic paints and colored pencils.
Material List: 1. Acrylics artist pad/multi-media drawing paper (whatever size you desire) 2. Pencil 3. Eraser 4. Fine tip Sharpie 5. Fan Brush 6. Acrylic paints 7. Brushes-round and flat 8.
