Welcome to Mrs. D's Art Room where it is always a good day when you are learning something new. In this one-time class, young artists will use step-by-step instructions to draw and paint a cute cat painting in acrylics and we will learn some fun facts about the animal. I will share some cat paintings of famous artist Henri Matisse during the class for inspiration. I will share a few interesting acrylic painting techniques such as 1. How to color cat eyes and ears 1. How to color fur 2....
This class is taught in English.
Students will understand some basics of drawing an animal using easy-to-follow steps and learn new techniques for coloring with two different mediums together, like acrylic paints and colored pencils.
Material List: 1. Acrylics artist pad/multi-media drawing paper (whatever size you desire) 2. Pencil 3. Eraser 4. Fine tip Sharpie 5. Fan Brush 6. Acrylic paints 7. Brushes-round and flat 8. Colored Pencils black and green 9. Color mixing palate 10. Small water cup for cleaning paintbrushes 11. Paper towels
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
