*If your student is under age 11 - Please Contact the Instructor prior to enrollment* This course is the same as the Basics Bootcamp FASTTRACK - just spread out over time. **If there are siblings in the family that would like to take the course together - Please let me know and I can open the number of spaces available for the section. Also if you would like to have a small group class with privately selected friends/family, I can accommodate up to five (5) students per class section....

Writing Pencil and Eraser Notebook or writing paper (for notes) Ruler Graph Paper (great for notes!!) (or graphing whiteboard good for one time drawings) Scientific Calculator (or calculator with square root function) (optional) Plain paper (optional) Colored Pencils- to help identify parts of the notes (optional) Whiteboard & Marker (for one time calculations and worked problems)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Informal assessment will be done as a check for understanding. Students will be given an entry problem and an exit problem to solve using the techniques taught. The student's ability to demonstrate that technique will indicate the student's level of understanding. No letter grade will be assigned, but if additional help is needed, I will reach out to the parent individually.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Additional work outside of class will include practice pages and use of the discussion board for students to interact on their own for created or practice problems. Please make sure your student's postings are appropriate for the class discussion and problems do not have any derogatory or inappropriate language or content.
