Any traditional or digital media of choice My areas of software expertise: photoshop, after effects, krita, blender, and tv paint
Student progress is assessed by overall improvement in the skills that are being targeted
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
PARENTAL GUIDANCE: Anatomy and the human body is a huge part of learning art and drawing. If the student is 16 years old or older they will informed about "life drawing classes". Life drawing classes include a nude model who poses for artists to draw. It is required at most art schools. They must have parental permission to attend a figure drawing session if they are 16 or 17. 18 year old can attend without parental consent as they are a legal adult. However, if they don't feel comfortable with it that is fine as well. Photo references will not include any nudity in sessions. Clothing such as athletic wear and bathing suits will be on the photo references. When using master artists, however, there may be nudity in some of the artist's work (example: life drawings by the Disney artist Glen Keane). These nude drawings or paintings will not be shown to students under 16 unless the parent or guardian gives consent. However, the artist's other works will be shown and this could mean the student explore's the artist's other artworks on their own time that may include nudity.
Sketchdaily (using the clothed option for under 18)
instagram (to look at contemporary artists work)
Posemaniacs (to use for reference of the human body and poses)
