📚 Master the 11+ Exam with English and Verbal Reasoning Excellence! 🧠 This class aims to introduce students to various strategies to tackle the 11+ exam and lots of opportunities to practise these skills. These skills include analogical reasoning, logical deduction, pattern recognition, inference and implication, critical thinking, word relationships, code breaking, syllogisms, cognitive flexibility, and abstract thinking, amongst other. Through intensive vocabulary expansion, grammar refinement, and strategic comprehension exercises, students will become adept at tackling the language-based challenges of the 11+ exam. I have studied linguistics as an undergraduate and applied linguistics as a post graduate before completing my PGCE and qualifying as a foreign language teaching in the UK.
I have been teaching for about 4 years and tutoring for about 5, working with students improve their French and English. I taught in schools for two years before setting up my company to teach online. I currently work with platforms teaching classes for the UK curriculum, both group classes (up to 20) and 1:1. classes.
I enjoy making my students laugh in the lesson and making them feel comfortable and providing an enjoyable classroom environment. I use sentence builders to provide my students with as much support as they need throughout their learning journey and I tend to favour task based learning and lots of input. I give my students lots of models before asking them to produce any language.
I love to cook and play around with clay to create tiny plant pots. I have a tiny applehead chihuahua named Sanka.
