We will work together to read using phonics skills, build on the child’s strengths and develop a love for reading! This is ideal for students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, or are struggling to accurately or fluently decode words.

In this course, I will apply the principles of The Science of Teaching Reading and foundational literacy skills that students with dyslexia and related disabilities benefit from. The pace of each lesson will be dependent on the child's readiness and current needs. To ensure effective tutoring, the teacher suggests meeting 2x per week. Book additional recurring meetings after the initial purchase.Explicit and systematic phonics instruction will improve a child's reading accuracy and fluency. Understanding the phonetic patterns in word will improve a child's spelling.
I am dyslexia certain and have a masters degree in literacy.
This class is a great option for students with dyslexia and dysgraphia because of the systematic and explicit instruction. Students with ADHD will benefit from the multi sensory learning approach that I use!
Students should have a dry erase board and marker or a paper and marker available during class time.
