Beginner - Intermediate Level
This class is set up under the ongoing class format but can be scheduled for 1 week or many weeks. Just let me know when signing up! Also -- if you need a session sooner for immediate homework help -- reach out and I will see if I can accommodate! Students will get one on one personalized tutoring in whatever area of reading/writing they are seeking improvement. Sessions will be individualized according to the skill(s) to be covered, to include, but not limited to: letter sounds word attack/decoding spelling rules reading fluency reading comprehension -- main idea, inferences, summarizing, and vocabulary skill building, etc writing skills -- basic grammar, punctuation and capitalization, parts of speech, sentence and paragraph writing, etc Where possible, multi-sensory elements will be used to enhanced learning. Single sessions (for homework help) and multi-session (1-2 times/week over multiple weeks) available. Longer time length sessions available also (from 45-60 minutes each).

I have tutored for over 10 years and have homeschooled my 4 kids over 20 years -- what works with one child does not always work with another. Children learn to read and write on their own timetables and get tripped up in different places. I am a grammar nerd and a writing geek.... these things make sense to me and I love helping to make them come alive to others!
