Class Experience
US Grade 6 - 9
🚀Does your learner need algebra help? The Patterns in Algebra course helps teens to think algebraically, using math reasoning and critical thinking skills. 👩🎓It’s designed for students who have struggled for years in math classes, who need to build their confidence in math, or who are taking or repeating pre-Algebra or Algebra 1. 🔍How does it work? - Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them. Reason abstractly and quantitatively. Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others. Attend to precision. Look for and make use of structure. Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning.
In this class, we can begin in the Intro, Level 1, or Level 2 areas, depending on where the learner is. I'll assess that as we work through opening activities in the first session together.
Learners will need to print the activities, which I'll provide for students in a downloadable PDF.
We will use the Pattern Explorer book. Students do not need to purchase them. I have a license to use and permission for use on Outschool.
