Meet Mavi – a trained support worker in the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading and spelling. She's here to assist your learner's needs as this method requires frequent practice. The highly effective Orton-Gillingham method provides specialized instruction to students aged 7-18. Learners will use multisensory learning to address reading and spelling issues.
Mavi has completed her initial level training in Orton-Gillingham and is continuing to pursue further certification. As an ND learner, she feels very excited about using this approach to address reading and spelling challenges.
Learners will need paper, fun markers, highlighters, pencils, glitter glue that comes out of a narrow nozzle (to make tactile materials).
We will be using Orton-Gillingham based materials.
