This class is taught in English.
Goals are set by the learner and/or their adults - this can be as conversational or information as you would like. Unless I receive a message at least 24 hours before the session, the session will be learner led and we'll tackle any questions they have. If you'd like a more content-heavy 1:1 session, consider an ongoing 1:1 session where we can plan ahead, follow up on topics, etc.
I own several small businesses (vintage goods, handmade jewelry, craft events, business workshops, and business consulting) and have been in business for 12+ years! I have 25+ years of work experience in food service, marketing, non-profit work, environmental policy, urban planning, writing, and much more! I have worked with young folks on business topics for around 5 years, and have taught adult business workshops for the same amount of time. I teach social media marketing and other business topics as my full time job; I've taught thousands of learners virtually and in person.
Generally, none. If the learner (or adult) would like homework, please communicate at least 24 hours in advance with your expectations.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Some sessions may discuss social media as a marketing tool. If this comes up, we will also talk about online safety and the importance of adults being aware of what we're posting online, and having access to accounts for safety reasons. No social media apps will be linked from the classroom.
