In our 1:1 Math Tutoring sessions, your child will experience personalized and engaging learning tailored to their individual needs. With a focus on creating a supportive and structured environment, each session will delve into targeted math topics aligned with your child's curriculum or areas requiring improvement. I have a Bachelor's degree in mathematics and have taught math in both a physical and online classroom for over 10 years. I have experience with both elementary and secondary mathematics up to teaching AP Calculus.
Homework Offered
At times, options for extra practice will be provided so the student can master the skill they are currently working on.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
If a student is joining me weekly, I will provide benchmark assessments to gauge their progress. These will be informal and used only to identify areas to focus on and celebrate achievements.Grades Offered
Structured, visual sessions with clear instructions. Incorporate breaks for movement, use visual aids, and simplify complex problems into manageable steps for optimal focus and engagement.
If you're uncertain about your learner's specific needs, during our initial session, I'll provide math tasks to evaluate your student's skills and determine areas for focus.

Depending on the needs of the learner, third party tools may be used (as described below). Khan Academy is a tool that can be used to track student progress and a parent can choose to create an account for their child to save their progress. Accounts will not be required for the other tools- students can join simply with their first name or it will be shared on the screen.
I can help with the resources the student is currently working on or provide the activities. I follow the curriculum set forth by Khan Academy as it is a partner with CollegeBoard, an organization in the United States that creates the Advanced Placement and SAT exams.
