Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 11
My math tutoring sessions will cover a wide range of topics, starting with basic math concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, then progressing to more advanced topics such as fractions, decimals, algebra, and even algebraic equations. The course is designed to address individual needs and can go all the way through Algebra 2, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each concept. I also provide homework help along with content review.

Each session is organized into interactive lessons that begin with a brief review or introduction to the concept. Students will then work through practice problems, both independently and with guidance. The lesson ends with a recap and additional practice for homework or further study.

My main teaching strategy is "I do, We do, You do". The point of this strategy is to get the student to be confident with math. However, my teaching style is patient, adaptive, and encouraging. I believe every student has their own unique learning pace, so I adjust my approach based on each learner's needs. I focus on building a growth mindset, where mistakes are seen as learning opportunities, and I make sure students feel supported and confident every step of the way. The goal is to break down complex problems into smaller, manageable steps, and to explain them in simple, relatable terms.

Throughout each session, students will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, engage in discussions, and work on problems with my guidance. I encourage students to explain their thought process, ask for clarification when needed, and collaborate during problem-solving activities.

Rather they needing help with homework or just wanting to sharpen those math skills, I am here to help.

If you have any questions, please reach out.

Learning Goals

Students will develop a strong understanding of fundamental math topics, including operations, fractions, decimals, and algebraic expressions ensuring they have the foundational knowledge to progress confidently to more advanced topics.
Students will build confidence in their math abilities by practicing regularly, improving their speed and accuracy with basic operations, and gaining the skills needed to tackle challenging problems independently.
