Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 7
This course can be tailored a few different ways:

1. On the specific math skills your student may be struggling with are struggling with whether that is money, multiplication, subtraction, addition, expanded form, base ten blocks, etc. I will teach this tutoring session based on your child's academic needs and I will meet them where they are.

2. Focusing on foundational gaps they may have from previous and current grade level material.

3. Getting ahead and building confidence.

4. Or helping with current material such as homework etc.

In my classes I like to use a variety of way to learn to fit your students learning needs- body movements, tangibles, videos, and note taking. Whatever your families need is I will do my best to meet the student where they are. My teaching style is using visuals and note taking while instructing.

Since this session is based specifically on your child's needs, I will most likely do a grade level pre/post test to determine their math level standing. The purpose for this testing is to bridge any gaps so that they are successful

I am very knowledge about a range of topics such as algebra, foundational and advanced fractions, multiplication and division strategies and much more. I can tailor my lessons specific to what your child needs.

For example if your student needs an overview with 3/4th grade fractions I would plan the lessons starting with the foundation and build upon that at their pace and level of understanding-

Lesson 1 Review of Fraction Foundations
Lesson 2 Adding and Subtracting Fractions Part 1
Lesson 3 Finding the Greatest Common Factor
Lesson 4 Simplifying Fractions
Lesson 5 Finding the Least Common Multiple

Learning Goals

The student will become more confident overall in math.
The student will learn various skills to help build a stronger math foundation.
