This ongoing 1 to 1 tutoring session will provide your child a safe place to tackle any current math struggles that your child may have.

During the 35 minute tutoring session, I will be using the "I do, we do, you do" method to support the student in mastering targeted math concepts. 

The structure of the tutoring session will be the following.

First 10 minutes: I will be introducing a personalized lesson on the math objective that your child needs help on. This 15 minutes will involve me showing your child step by step how to tackle the math concept and answering any questions that your child might have.

Last 20 minutes: We will work on math problems together. As your child and I solve  the problems, we will work on any misunderstanding and errors your child might have. Toward the end of the tutoring session, your child will work on problems independently. We will check and discuss the answers thoroughly together.

We will be primarily using pencil and paper during our tutoring sessions, but we will utilize fun online games as your grows confident in their skills. I highly encourage parents and students to reach out before each tutoring session with requests regarding what math objectives that the student needs help in and current class/homework struggles. This will ensure that we can maximize our time together.
