In this 1 on 1 ongoing class, we will meet twice a week as students will receive individualized support on their homework/topics of their choice. Students will learn to be great problem solvers as well as build confidence.

Hi there! This is an ongoing class, which students will get to choose what they need the most help on. They will choose the topic they want to go over and I will explain it step by step, give examples and check for understanding of the topic. Students may choose to bring their homework or notes from their regular class and I will help support them. I will include visual aids as well as manipulatives and fun games to enhance student learning. I will therefore need to know beforehand the topic the learner would like to go over and bring or forward any assigned work so I can deliver the lesson and make the most out of our time.

-Solving Mixed fractions
-Solving linear equations
-Solving equations with variables on both sides
-Modeling and Solving One-Variable Equations with Variables on Both Sides

I will be teaching Math 7th, 8th, and Algebra 1.
I am a certified teacher in the state of Texas and was a classroom teacher for the past 4 years. I've taught 8th grade and Algebra 1 for the past 3 years and 1 year 7th grade.
I enjoy teaching Pre-Algebra and Algebra and seeing students make connections that they can apply in the real world. My ultimate goal is for students to feel confident and accomplished in math as well as creating critical thinking skills were they can use throughout their life.
I'm all about being optimistic and positive when I am teaching and I love making math simple and easy as possible, as well as fun and interactive!
