1:1 Math Tutor Middle School, Geometry, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra 60 Min

This class will help students gain understanding and confidence in mathematics. We will work 1:1 to gain clarity on assignments and areas of struggle. I will work with the student's learning style and find approaches and methods that help the student understand the foundations and build upon these foundations. Ultimately, the student should be able to teach me the concepts we have been working on. I want them to have a solid grasp of the concepts to allow them to move forward with more comfort.

Elementary School Mathematics:  Adding, Subtracting, Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Decimals, Money, Time, Two-Dimensional Geometry 

Middle School Mathematics: Whole Numbers, Fractions and Mixed Numbers, Decimals, Ratios, Rates, and Proportions, Percents, Real Numbers, Solving Equations and Inequalities, and Graphing Linear Equations and Inequalities

Pre-Algebra: Integers, Order of Operations, Algebraic Expressions, One and Two-step Equations, Proportions, Percents, Probability, Geometry, and Linear Equations

Algebra 1: Intro to Expressions, Exponents and Radicals, Polynomials, Linear Equations, Linear Inequalities,  Systems of Equations and Inequalities, Introduction to Functions, Sequences and Exponential Functions,  Piecewise and Transformations,  Quadratic Functions, Quadratic Equations, and Descriptive Statistics

Algebra 2: Linear Equations and Inequalities, Functions and Relations, Matrices, Sets, Exponents And Exponential Functions, Solving Quadratic Equations, Data Analysis and Probability, Logarithms, Conic Sections, and Trigonometry

Geometry: Points, Lines, Planes and Angles, Proof, Perpendicular and Parallel, Triangles, Similarity, Right Triangles and Trigonometry, Quadrilaterals, Transformations, Circles, and Area

Please have the student come prepared with the assignment and/or questions, scrap paper, pencil, and any manipulative they have been using. Please communicate with me and provide materials to be covered 24 hours before the scheduled class time so as I can be prepared with all needed resources to help your child succeed.
