Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Your learner can join me once a week for personalized learning as we build important early
READING SKILLS such as:
*Letter recognition, phonemic awareness (listening for sounds) phonics (learning/saying sounds), literacy skills (parts of a book, reading left to right) and rhyming. I teach vowels first, as they are the most common letters in reading, and knowing vowel sounds builds a strong foundation. We later move on to consonants, blending/sounding out words, sight words, writing words, and reading comprehension.
We will also build MATH SKILLS such as:
*Patterns, number recognition and writing, counting, number sense, shapes (2D and 3D), story problems, addition and subtraction, measurement, and quantities.
Each tutoring session will be tailored to your learner’s specific needs and interests. Parents can message me to let me know what your learner could use help with and I will customize lessons on that topic. Parents can also choose for your learner to follow the learning schedule below with an emphasis on certain skills you request. Also, please let me know any interests your child has so I can make their learning more fun. For example, If your learner likes cars or animals, we can build patterns with these things and count them. I look forward to seeing you in class! Recommended ages 4-6
