Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 5
Beginner - Intermediate Level
What will be taught?
In this class, the student will be able to ask the teacher questions and review material that the student needs help with. However, parents have the option to re-book my class again for future lessons. Each time, I will create a different lesson that is tailored for each individual student.

What topics will you cover?
Depending on the student's needs, we will meet for 40 minutes per class and review multiplication and/or division problems. Subjects that I am qualified to teach include:
1st-6th grade English/language Arts. This includes reading, writing and spelling.
1st-6th grade Mathematics,
1st-6th grade Science
1st-6th grade Social Studies

Other topics for class can be anything that is taught from 1st grade through 6th grade. I will work together with each student/family to help design a goal-oriented lesson. Parents and I will communicate through the Outschool platform.

How is your class structured?
I provide a fun and safe classroom environment. Students are encouraged to ask questions as we learn and review information. I will create/follow a fun power point lesson that includes, interactive games, and vivid pictures to help students understand and retain information better.

How will you teach?
I will teach using power point slides. In this power point, I include interactive games, you tube videos, songs and story books which are specifically tailored for your child’s needs.

What's your teaching style?
I’m a big believer in using 'positive reinforcement' to encourage my students. I also use verbal praise as well as (high-fives, rewards and even a prize box.) I find that students are more engaged in the material when there are prizes to be earned.

How much will learners get to interact with you and each other?
Students will have my direct attention throughout the entire class time.
Learning Goals
Students will improve on individual multiplication and division skills.
