1:1 Interview Prep for Private School Applications

Welcome to interview prep! 

During your first lesson, we'll dive into potential questions you may be asked. We'll also discuss what makes you stand out from other applicants to ensure we work those details into the conversation. We'll end with a few practice questions--taking turns asking and answering. 

By the end of the first lesson, you'll have gained valuable information. Such as: 

- Whether to shake hands with your interviewer
- How exactly to shake hands
- How to sit to show confidence and interest in the conversation
- Whether to ask any of your own questions
- Which questions to ask
- What to say at the end of the interview (this is crucial) 

Future lessons will consist of full practice interviews. I suggest booking 3-4 lessons with me in total, each booked on a different day. The first lesson covers critical basics. The next 2-3 lessons will be full mock interviews in which I will ask questions and provide constructive feedback at the end. 

During each mock interview, I will take on a different interviewer personality. Ex. "Warm and friendly" or "Formal and aloof." This helps you learn how to interview well regardless of who you're sitting across from.
