Beginner - Intermediate Level
I will be teaching students that are struggling writers. I will tailor the topic to the needs of each child. We will begin by reading a text and pulling it apart in order to answer questions that come with the text. My teaching style: I will use and have found success with the I do, we do, you do method of teaching. We will engage in interesting conversation and use whatever means necessary to help the child become a successful writer. My target audience is grades 3-6 testing grades. Topics: Narrative writing, Persuasive writing, Informational writing, and constructed responses for testing questions.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to write in complete sentences, using proper punctuation and capitalizations, organization and including details to answer a short constructed response as found on state testing.
