US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 4
Is your child struggling with reading, English, writing, or math? Age four through the early grades are so important for future educational success and private tutoring 1:1 may be just what your child needs in order to feel more confident. My teaching style is methodical, building skill upon skill. We will incorporate games, when possible as well as use repetition to solidify new information and concepts. Children need the foundation of core subject matter to have success in other subjects. For reading improvement I will guide your learner by using phonics to build word/sentence/story reading. We will also address reading comprehension and help your child learn to read more fluently. Math students will learn age/grade appropriate concepts with frequent review. We will use a hands-on approach when learning a new skill, making sure students understand the reason for the method behind obtaining the answer. Learners who need assistance in writing will be guided through the writing process, including brainstorming, help with spelling and making interesting sentences. We will start at your child’s current level and progress from there with a personalized plan made just for your learner. If a current time slot does not work, please send a request and I will try to work out a time that works for both of us.
