Class Experience
Let your learners love of history come to life in these classes. These 1:1 classes are guided by your learner and their interests and are designed to offer further information and discussion about topics that have sparked their interest. Each week, we will discuss a different theme or time period from the past, which will be agreed upon in advance. This could be inspired by something your learner has read, a TV show they have seen or their general interest. Class sessions will then be based around this theme. Learners will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss some key historical issues or debates. Each session will be discussion based with learners encouraged to ask their own questions and delve deeper into a historical topic of their choosing. My main areas of expertise are British history and unusual, yucky history. I am also able to run classes on modern European history (from approx. 1850s), the history of childhood and Jewish history.
Learning Goals
Learners will:
Develop their understanding of historical time periods (as determined by the learner),
Improve their skills in asking historically relevant questions,
Begin to develop early research skills.
