US Grade 7
In this class, learners will be given guided practice problems to practice pre-algebra skills and concepts typically taught in seventh grade. This should not be the student's first exposure to this mathematical operation. Students will be given immediate feedback, guided error correction, and reteaching as needed during the class. Learners can also bring homework or assignments from school or other classes that involve pre-algebra to work on together. Concepts and skills can include any of the following: •Writing, Evaluating, and Simplifying Variable Expressions •Equivalent Expressions •Writing Equations •Identifying Solutions to Equations •Solving One-Step and Two-Step Equations •Solving and Graphing One-Step and Two-Step Inequalities Please schedule your sessions carefully, as missed sessions will not be rescheduled or refunded.

Pre-Requisites
Learners should be proficient with solving one-step (6th grade) or two-step (7th grade) equations before attending this class.
Supply List
Learners should bring something to write with to each class meeting.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello! I have been teaching and working in the public school setting for the past nineteen years, and tutoring privately for the past ten years. I have worked with students ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade in math, reading, writing mechanics, American History, and beginning Spanish. I especially enjoy working with students in small groups or individually, and developed skills as an online educator when schools had to close for the pandemic.
