Class Experience

Students will improve their map skills, country and physical feature identification, and learn how the 5 themes of geography affect us all.
I am a licensed History Teacher and have taught in U.S. public and charter schools for 3 years, as well as teaching numerous geography-based classes on Outschool since 2020. I love geography and love collecting atlases. In 7th grade, I even won my school's Geography Bee. I believe that Geography is the key to helping us learn and appreciate the world around us.
Students will be required to incorporate what we have discussed into daily studying.
Please bring pencils, paper, and any other school-work related items you need to study geography.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
If you are interested in any assessment, let me know and we can discuss that.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Depending on the topics and content the learner and their parents are wanting me to cover, we might utilize sources such as Nearpod, Kahoot, the CIA World Factbook, the Smithsonian Institute websites, National Geographic websites, and Google Earth. None of these sources require any accounts or personal information.
