This class is thoughtfully designed to support ALL learners. Students with Dyslexia and Autism will benefit from abundant multisensory activities. Skills are taught systematically and explicitly to ensure that every student is successful.
Pre-Requisites
Students should be able to read basic sight words as well as read simple sentences.

Hi, I’m Ashlynn! I’m a licensed elementary educator with 14+ years of experience teaching both in the classroom and online. Along with Orton-Gillingham, I hold endorsements in Reading K-12 and ESOL. I am currently working toward my Dyslexia certification to better support struggling readers. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with dyslexic, autistic, ADHD, and ESL learners, helping them build confidence and a love for learning through engaging, multi-sensory instruction.
I bring energy, patience, and interactive activities to every class, using games, movement-based learning, and hands-on experiences to make reading fun and effective. My passion for literacy is deeply personal—I believe every child deserves the tools to succeed.
Beyond teaching, I love all things homesteading! Spending time at my grandparents' farms, I learned to grow food, can fresh food, sew, and bake from scratch—skills I still cherish today. And when I’m not in the classroom, you’ll find me digging in my gardening, cooking up a delicious meal, or exploring the outdoors with my husband and two boys.
A fun fact about me: My favorite Disney movie is “Beauty and the Beast.” (Oh…and yes, my dogs have Disney names!).
