In these one-on-one tutoring sessions, I will provide personalized support to help students develop effective essay writing strategies. Tailored to individual's needs, the sessions focus on the essay writing process, thesis development, essay organization, argumentation, research methods, and proper citation techniques. Together, we will set achievable goals, celebrate progress, and cultivate a resilient mindset that will empower the student to tackle writing challenges with confidence. Through individualized assessment and feedback, we'll identify the student's strengths and areas for growth, allowing us to craft a customized approach to elevate their writing to new heights. The sessions are designed to be student-led, strengths-based, and growth-oriented.
Learning Goals
1. Refine Writing Skills: Develop and refine the essential skills required for crafting well-structured and coherent essays, including thesis development, organization, evidence integration, and argumentation.
2. Enhance Critical Thinking: Strengthen critical thinking abilities by analyzing essay prompts, texts, and scholarly sources to construct compelling arguments and counterarguments.

Students should bring with them the following: 1. Current essay writing assignment they wish to work on. 2. The rubric that will be used for evaluation. 3. Any previous writing feedback they received from their teacher.
