Beginner - Intermediate Level
Level 7 of this ESL Curriculum has been created for teenagers and young learners who have either completed Levels 1 through 6 or are at an A2 level of English. Level 7 will then continue to build on what they have already been taught whilst also introducing more vocabulary and encouraging more independent sentence creation based on the following topics: Phrasal verbs such as: bring up, bring down, get better, get to, get over, take in and take up. How to form and use the first conditional through various engaging examples and activities about safety and security. This will allow students to express future possibilities and outcomes based on present actions or situations. Introduction to key language to help equip students to write book and movie reviews, enabling them to talk about visual and storytelling elements of a film. Using could, should, and shall to make suggestions. Prepositions and adjectives being used together. Modal verbs of obligation and prohibition, including ‘must’, ‘have to’, ‘don’t have to’, and ‘mustn’t’. Introduction to negative future tense whilst also incorporating two adverbs of probability: ‘definitely’ and ‘probably’. Phrasal verbs such as: above, below, get on, get off, far, during, until and since. Connecting sentences using linkers such as 'and', 'because', 'then', and 'and then'. Introduction to key language to help equip students to write short stories, including elements related to setting, plot and character. Before the controlled practice exercises like gap fills, matching activities, and even error correction, each lesson begins with a presentation of the core grammar structures in the form of a dialogue. In addition, there are a number of opportunities for students to gain invaluable speaking practice through games, randomiser activities and structured dialogues, giving them the confidence to put what they have learned in class into practice. Vocabulary refresher activities in the review lessons will help students review what they have learned in each block of lessons.

Parental Guidance
All students will be muted when needed, to minimize background noise. Please ensure to spend some time with your learner, teaching them the mute and unmute features as I am unable to unmute them. Or I ask that you sit with your learner in order to provide that support. I want to make sure every learner gets a chance to speak and ask questions when it is their turn.
