Class Experience

Are you interested in learning how to crochet? Are you stuck on a particular project? Do you have a pattern you would like to learn? Or maybe you're trying to write your own pattern? Let me help.

In this ongoing, 1:1 class, I will use a second camera focused on my hands to help you learn to crochet. Whether it's the very basics of crochet, or how to do a certain stitch you are stuck on. I am capable of helping anyone that crochets with their right-hand, or with their left hand with the use of my camera and a bit of a switcharoo.

Along with the live class, you will also have access to some pre-recorded YouTube videos made by me for you to watch for as long as you need.

Before class, tell me what it is that you need help with so that I am best prepared for our time together.
If it is a pattern you need help with, I ask that you either bring the pattern with you to class or better yet, send it to me beforehand. This will help me to better understand what you need assistance with.

Do you need just the basics? What would you like to learn?
-Chain stitch
-Single crochet
-Double crochet
-Magic circle
The list goes on and on. Let me know and I'll help.

Depending on what you would like help with, you can reserve a certain amount of 1:1 ongoing classes. If you need an extra week or two, you can easily sign up for them right through the class site.

Let's crochet!

Hi there!
My name is Tessa DeForge. I live in the beautiful state of Vermont with my husband, 2 silly dogs and 2 precocious cats. I graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2011 and hold a bachelor's in Art Education.
I am very passionate about education. I have taught in a traditional setting for 10 years as a 6-12 art teacher and as an early educator. I love to teach a multitude of things through art and play. Some of the classes I offer are: Art Social Group, Crochet Club, 1;1 Knitting and Crochet classes, as well as social groups, to name a few. I am always looking to expand on my class list. The skies the limit when it comes to art and I hope to have some more exciting classes up and running in the very near future.
