Class Experience
This class will be designed for beginner learners. Please note that there will be a 5-minute break in between classes. We will go over numbers and animal names. If your child decides to continue after the 4 classes, we will continue expanding vocabulary and putting words learned into simple sentences. week 1 and week 2 focus on numbers 1-10 along with projects. week 3 and week 4 focus on animals, color, and projects. Your child will also learn essential words like hello, what's your name, my name is, how old are you, I am _____years old. each week will be a build-up from the previous week. I will send a weekly update of your child's learning and provide resources for your child to practice at home. Also for other learners who are not beginners, please message me for more information. Please message me if you don't see a time that fits your schedule

I am a native Chinese, certified teacher, studied English as my second language. I specialize in teaching students who are beginning to learn mandarin. I have 10 years of teaching experience. 8 years in the school setting and 2 years in an online setting. I have a BA in Child and Adolescent Development with a minor in Music as well as a Montessori credential.
My values or philosophy behind my teaching: my focus is on the “whole child,” which means that my lesson plans will focus on stimulating the child physically, cognitively, socially, and emotionally. As an educator, my lessons will have many interesting subjects that will keep the children engaged. I prefer the use of guidebooks, hands-on tools, and activities to help me teach Mandarin/English in a fun and productive way.
Passion: my passion has always been learning. In my spare time, I love playing the guitar, collecting children’s books, and making use of the time to learn, plan lessons, and take classes. I think learning is exciting and I want to make learning fun for the children as well.
