Description
Class Experience
Students will use scissors, paint, staples and creativity to make a theatre. We will explore story arc, character types and setting. These are curricular concepts for Grades 2-9.
Yvonne (B.Mus) is an interdisciplinary artist who works in many mediums.
Students might need to do work outside class to complete each week. Writing their plays can just be point form work or doodled notecards that allows for improvisation within a general framework.
You will need an empty cereal box, a pair of scissors, tape, glue, a stapler, paint or markers, coffee stir sticks or actual twigs or popsicle sticks, regular paper, card stock if you have it, your imagination.
Learners will sell-assess based on how they feel about their project.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students will be using scissors and if you want to support the use of an art knife please make sure there is a pad on the workspace to avoid damaging the table top. The first class is a tricky one. Please be on hand to help your learner sort out the way we disassemble and reassemble the cereal box for our theatres.
