Class Experience
In this class, students will learn yoga poses and yoga sequences that are both calming and relaxing. If your child is someone who benefits from individualized and personalized classes, this is the one for them! This class is perfect for anytime of day and will help students to start their day off in the right way, act as a midday relaxing practice, or a nighttime/bedtime yoga practice. Another great thing about this class is that it can be taken an unlimited amount of times. As your child and...
Students will learn how to calm their minds and bodies down with yoga poses and breathing exercises.
I have practiced yoga for the past 8 years and I have taught yoga (in person) for the last 4 years. For 3 of those years I taught children and teens (ages 3 -18). In 2016 I completed a yoga internship with 100 completed hours of training under the supervision of a registered yoga teacher. I am currently completing a 200 hour yoga teacher training with hopeful completion by January 2022!
There is no homework required for this class, however I do encourage parents to motivate their children to practice what they learned in class to help the student get into their own yoga routine.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
While practicing yoga is not dangerous, it is best to have a parent/guardian close by. Students should also have a clean and clear space that is big enough for them to lay their bodies down comfortably as we will be on the ground at some points in the class. A bottle of water is also recommend. Light stretching can happen before coming to class. This yoga class is best suited for bare feet.
