This class is part of a series of classes meant to provide opportunities for learners to review and practice math concepts involving fractions and mixed numbers typically taught in 4th grade math. Below is a list of concepts that could be covered during this class as time and rate of learning allow. Learners may also bring homework or class assignments involving fractions to the class meeting for assistance. •Writing Fractions and Mixed Numbers •Equivalent Fractions •Simplifying Fractions and Converting Mixed Numbers to Improper Fractions •Converting Improper Fractions to Mixed Numbers •Comparing and Sequencing Fractions and Mixed Numbers •Adding and Subtracting Fractions with Like Denominators •Adding and Subtracting Mixed Numbers with Like Denominators •Multiplying Fractions and Mixed Numbers by Whole Numbers Please schedule sessions carefully, as missed classes will not be rescheduled or refunded. Hello! I have been teaching and working in the public school setting for the past nineteen years, and tutoring privately for the past ten years. I have worked with students ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade in math, reading, writing mechanics, American History, and beginning Spanish. I especially enjoy working with students in small groups or individually, and developed skills as an online educator when schools had to close for the pandemic. I have continued to work online with learners today, and truly enjoy it. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy watching television and movies, and traveling with my family.Reviews
