Welcome to 101 Private-Python Programming -Basics for Beginners-1 hour- Level 1

Program Description:
-Learners will have an individual session with a coding expert to learn the fundamentals of Python-coding
-This program is offered throughout the year

What You Will Learn:

Part 1 – Python As a Calculator

Lesson 1: the world of Variable and Datatypes
• Creating variable(s) in Python
• Putting information in it with assignment variables
• Basic numerical operations
• Learn with project/application

Lesson 2: Data types in Python
• Numbers: integers and float
• String and learn slicing in a string along with other methods
• Boolean
• List including method of indexing and other list methods
• Random
• Learn with project/application

Lesson 3: Interactive python code
• Input in Python: Input function
• Output in Python: Print function and format for data types and multiple variables
• Print function with triple quotes and escape characters
• Adding comments in Python
• Learn with project/application

Part 2 – Making Decisions
Lesson 4: Making comparisons
• Understanding comparisons with logical operations signs
• Learn with project/application

Lesson 5: Making choices with Conditions
• Understanding comparisons with if and else
• Use of if, if-else, and if-elif-else
• Learn with project/application

Lesson 6: More on conditional statements
• Incorporating and or operator in if and else and learning with a project
• Incorporating break, continue, and pass in the if and else and learn with
project/application

Lesson 7: Learning conditions with Projects
• Learn with project/application – Making a calculator

Program Policies:
-Please book a time allocated by the teacher. If you would like to meet at a different day or time, please contact us.
-This is an individual, one-on-one class. 
-Learners meet once a week.
-This is a subscription-based class, so you will be charged every week to save your seat for the following week. 
-All Ongoing classes have a standard refund policy: "Cancel subscription at any point, no refund for past subscriptions. Payments can be refunded within 24 hours of purchase."

Supply List
For the class,  you are required to have Replit.  

Please follow these steps,:
1. Go to https://replit.com/
2. Make an account and for this, click on “sign up” on top right of website.
3. You can create an account by typing in username, email and password
4. An email will be sent to the email address which you typed in when signing up. There you have
to click on the activation link.
5. Sign in to you account by typing in email/username and password.
6. Under “create” heading, click on python to get started with python coding. You will have to type in title of the code according to the lesson, followed by clicking on “create repl”.

If you require help with the above, do not worry!  The instructor will help you during the lesson. See you in class! :)

Juwairiah Zia is an M.Sc. student in Electrical and Computer Engineering. She is also passionate about science communication and teaching STEM subjects and coding, especially to kids and youth. She has been working with student for more than 2 years and have skilled them with Scratch, Python, Java, C/C++ and robotics. She is passionate about this coding teaching experience while growing her skills and challenging herself.
