Welcome to C++-Beginner Program

Program Description:
-Learners will have an individual session with a coding expert to learn the fundamentals of C++-coding
-This program is offered throughout the year

What You Will Learn:
Lesson 1
Introduction to C++
Understanding syntax of writing code in C++
Showing words, letters and numbers on the display screen

Lesson 2
Creating Variables such as string and integer
Assigning values to the variables
Showing text and variable on display

Lesson 3
Working with data types of C++

Lesson 4
Mathematical operations in C++
Project: creating calculator
Project: calculating area and perimeter of shapes

Lesson 5
Getting user input or making computer ask you input with text and numbers
Project

Lesson 6
Practicing Math using maximum, minimum, squaring, absolute and rounding off numbers

Lesson 7
Working with string such as calculating string, converting string into upper and lower case, concatenate
multiple string, accessing character in a string, find position of character in a string

Lesson 8
Understanding Boolean datatype
Use of Boolean for comparisons between numbers

Enable making decisions using if and else

Repeating tasks in the program using for loop
Break and continue function in a for loop

Program Policies:
-Please book a time allocated by the teacher. If you would like to meet at a different day or time, please contact us.
-This is an individual, one-on-one class. 
-Learners meet once a week.
-This is a subscription-based class, so you will be charged every week to save your seat for the following week. 
-All Ongoing classes have a standard refund policy: "Cancel subscription at any point, no refund for past subscriptions. Payments can be refunded within 24 hours of purchase."

Parental Guidance
Please follow these steps: 1. Go to https://replit.com/ 2. Make an account and for this, click on “sign up” on top right of website. 3. You can create an account by typing in username, email and password 4. An email will be sent to the email address which you typed in when signing up. There you have to click on the activation link. 5. Sign in to you account by typing in email/username and password. 6. Under “create” heading, click on C++ to get started with coding. You will have to type in title of the code according to the lesson, followed by clicking on “create repl”. If you require help with the above, do not worry! The instructor will help you during the lesson. See you in class! :)

Juwairiah Zia is an M.Sc. student in Electrical and Computer Engineering. She is also passionate about science communication and teaching STEM subjects and coding, especially to kids and youth. She has been working with student for more than 2 years and have skilled them with Scratch, Python, Java, C/C++ and robotics. She is passionate about this coding teaching experience while growing her skills and challenging herself.
