101-Game Building With Python -Pygame

In this 12-week course learners will build a basic game using PyGame library of Python.They will learn about key coding concepts like variables, conditionals, loops and python libraries.

Beginner Level
This course provides an in-depth introduction to game development using the Pygame library. Learners will learn how to create a fully functional 2D game from scratch, covering fundamental concepts and practical skills necessary for game development.Each class will cover one or more topics from the syllabus, building on the previous class's work.Live coding sessions where students can follow along and implement features in real-time. Sessions dedicated to answering student questions and discussing game development concepts.Fun coding challenges and activities to reinforce learning.Dedicated time for discussions and Q&A to address student concerns and deepen understanding. Assignments to reinforce learning, culminating in a final project where students create their own game.

Lesson 1:
Introduction to PyGame
 Create game window

Add images for Player
 Plan images to be used for player and enemy characters

Key pressed events
 Using key pressed events add movement to player

Lesson 4:
Enemy character and movement
 Add enemy character and use random for movement

I support unique learning needs by incorporating slow pace , repeat instructions and use zoom annotator tool to make it work for neurodivergent learners.

I believe coding can be used as another medium to express and create. Therefore I look forward to coding with my learners each day.
