In this 10 week course, we will explore different fundamental flute topics, including breathing, tone, technique, articulation, proper practice techniques, and vibrato.
Class experience
In this ten week class, we will focus on different flute-centric topics in order to improve general playing and to keep skills fresh over the summer. We will cover Tone, Vibrato, Proper Practice, Technique, Articulation, and Breathing. These topics will overlap, however we will intensively focus on a topic in two-week increments. We will follow an "I do, we do, you do" format, where I will demonstrate a technique on my instrument, we play the technique together as a class, then I spot...
Students will need their flute, any handouts, a pencil, a tuner and a metronome. I can provide links/recommendations for free tuner/metronome websites or apps.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
