Description Class Experience This one-time course is an introduction to creating a YouTube channel and all the things you need to consider before starting one. Things that will be discussed will be: - Creating YouTube channel art and themes - Coming up with channel ideas - Recording yourself - apps and other software needed - Editing your video - Creating thumbnails - Where and when to post videos - earning money from your videos - Creating videos that rank well - privacy online It is important to know that we will not be diving deep into the above topics. This is an intro to YouTube course. We will bring up these topics and discuss how they relate to having a YouTube channel. If your learner has detailed experience on other social media platforms, they might already have some of the knowledge of the content from this class. If your learner is excited and ready to start their channel after going through this one-time course, I have other classes that will be available for them to start the fun process of starting and running a YouTube channel!

Parental Guidance
YouTube is intended for age 13 and older, however, students younger than 13 are able to create a YouTube channel as long as a parent approves the child's account.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hi, my name is Erin and I am so excited to have your learner in my class!
I currently teach YOUTUBE, VIDEO EDITING, & GAMING-RELATED classes to aspiring YouTubers, Gamers, other Influencers.
I believe it is important to have fun while learning, so I always do my best to teach with high energy and I encourage my students to be as interactive as they are comfortable being. When a student enjoys learning, they will continue to seek knowledge and gain confidence as a person.
