During this class students learn 10 spelling rules. Students may know some of the rules but review of those are always helpful. 1-i before e 2-words ending in V 3-one syllable, short vowel words ending in F, S, L 4-Ci, ce, cy = /s/ sounds 5.-gi, ge, cy = /j/ sound 6.-Short vowel words ending in /k/ 7. -adge, -edge, -idge, -odge, -udge 8. - plural (s or es) 9. - drop the l in all as a prefix: always, also, altogether..... 10. - CVC + ing, ed =double consonant At the end of class, if time allows, they will edit a paragraph correcting spelling.

I have taught all of my adult life. I have taught in many mediums - traditional classrooms, virtual classrooms, and a tutoring business which I established and ran for 25 years. I love teaching and cherish the times I witness their learning. I find that the times I spend with children are some of my most precious times.
I love teaching children everything. I want to teach basic math and reading and help students that may need more instruction and/or practice. However, I am looking forward to also teaching some other courses - some math tricks, identifying emotions, and how to best act from them. I have 3 daughters and 5 grandkids that I love unconditionally. I live in Florida and enjoy having the Atlantic so close.
