The topic that will be taught is essential for the acquisition and retention of learning about effective study habits. On the first activity, the teacher will present a paragraph and follow up questions that will answer the following: Am I reading or getting the details? Am I reading for particular meaning? Am I getting the definition of each word? Do I spell the new words correctly? Am I memorizing anything? Am I studying “to the test”? Is reading even important? Afterwards, there is an activity that they need to answer to gauge how well they understand their role as learners by answering FACT or OPINION for the given statements. and then will proceed to the discussion of the 10 effective study habits. This lesson is a student-centered wherein learners are encouraged to speak more often in the class while developing their higher order thinking skills by responding to the teacher's questions, explaining ideas on the slide, and doing various activities.
