Join me in this one time interactive class. During this class, your child will be introduced to the parts of a book, practice counting, and identifying rhyming words while I read the classic story, Ten Apples Up On Top by Dr. Seuss. We will also review numbers to 10 and identify rhyming words. After the story, we will "stack up" rhymes as well as practice counting to 10! Students will practice their rhyming skills, as well as counting, and letter sounds. Students will learn about the parts of a book. Students will practice pre-reading skills such as reading from left to right and top to bottom. Students will understand words represent a spoken word and convey a message. Students will answer simple questions about the story. Students will describe elements in a story, for example, characters and/or setting (time, place, and/or environment).
