In this one-time class, students will learn step-by-step how to create an amazing cover for any story, using the free graphic design program, Canva.

Objective: Learners will create a book cover for a story they wrote or a book they have read in the free graphics program, Canva. This one-time class is great for creative writing learners who would like to create a book cover for a story they have already written or to use as inspiration for a story they want to create. Students will learn about the elements that belong on a book cover, how spacing is important to aesthetic, how important the text font is when creating a cover, and how to make sure their title and first name can be read over top of an image.
