Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 9
Beginner - Advanced Level
Welcome! I'm glad you've decided to look into voice lessons! My goal in this lesson is to help you achieve your own personal goal and provide you with both live and detailed written feedback after class. In addition to after class feedback, I always send recommended homework and links to any other resource I feel would aid you in meeting your goal.

Option One: Audition/ Performance Prep Lesson

If you are preparing for an audition or a performance here are the steps to take:

1. Makes sure you are not booking the day of or the day before the audition to allow time to apply what is learned and to rest the voice

2. Upload please upload the exact sheet music and track if you have one that you will be using for your event so I can help you with the correct material in the correct key. (OR ask me if I already have it)

I will start with vocal exercises tailored to your song chose as this will not only help you warm up, but will also give me an idea of what your vocal range and strengths are. Then I will listen to you sing the song one time through before providing guidance on specific sections that we will break down piece by piece. I will work with you to achieve the best sound and artistic interpretations that choir directors, theater directors, and talent shows are looking for.

Option Two. Vocal Discovery Lesson

If you choose this option, we will discover your
-Range
-Vocal Part
-Vocal Qualities and Abilities
-Singing Goals

In addition to the above, I will explain some basic vocal terminology and share a little bit of voice science so that you have a better understanding of how the voice functions. During this time I will answer any questions you have about singing or vocal function etc.

After this, I will create specific exercises to help you achieve a specific goal you have. I.e., to sing higher notes, or to sing louder, or to sing a specific style etc...After the lesson is over, you will receive detailed feedback with all the information discussed in the lesson alongside of links to other professional resources I feel may benefit you more in your vocal journey.
