1-on-1 Writing Tutoring for All Types of Writing (25 Minutes)

When approached with writing, many students tend to have difficulties at some point in time, regardless of the project. From planning a paper, to getting initial thoughts on paper, then finally writing the full piece, the act of writing has many hurdles. Learners will be given the opportunity to improve their writing skill in 1-on-1 tutoring sessions meant for all skill levels.

All writing disciplines are welcome in these sessions. Learners can come to class with academic papers, personal writing projects, or general skills improvement in mind. 

Types of writing that we can work on (but are not limited to) include:
- 5 paragraph essays
- English and language arts papers
- Creative writing (blogs, poetry, or fiction writing)
- Application essays and personal statements

If learners need help getting started with an assignment, we'll start with the basics, from brainstorming to outlining. If they are currently working on a project, we'll cover what they've already written and create an action plan on how it can be improved or finalized. For students that are looking to improve their overall writing, we will work on exercises that will improve their skills, as well as go over what "good" writing is.
