1-on-1 Writing and Reading Tutor (Ages 9-12)

This course will provide personalized tutoring to the student, focused on the specific needs of the student. The course will focus on practice reading and pronunciation, spelling, reading comprehension, and writing skills! The 25 minute class, twice a week, will present the student with a story/reading practice, tailored to their interests. We will have a discussion about the story/article read, then practice using some key vocabulary words through writing. Quizzes and games will be used to reinforce vocabulary and facilitate discussion. It is crucial to use gentle guidance so the student feels confident to challenge their skills.

Each class will be personalized to the need of the student. We will assess their reading and writing needs, their interests, and their learning style. The class will be catered to the specific wants and needs of the student in regards to their academic success.
