Class Experience

I focus on the correct and basic techniques when teaching the classical method to students, beginner and intermediate, learning to play the violin. Students will learn or review:

- how to hold the violin and how to hold the bow
- place the bow on the strings
- play on the open strings
- practice and play scales and studies
- practice and play pieces

Each music lesson is tailored to the student. This way, a student can master a technique before continuing on to learn a new technique. Mastering each technique helps students gain confidence and they are then able to advance and play more difficult pieces.

Students can select to play from a variety of music such as classical, fiddle, movie music, and more.

Students will learn through lecture, discussion, and video clips.
