US Grade 6 - 9
This is a tutoring session, 1-on-1, for any history, social studies, or geography topic. I will work with your student in whatever area they need extra help with. I have my Bachelor of Arts degree in history from UC Davis and love all things related to history, people, and stories. I love helping students understand difficult concepts, work through vocab, quiz them to help them prep for a test, and more. Prior to our first session I will send an in-take form to the parent to gain insight into your goals for your student and how I can best prepare for the session. Topics available: -World History -United States history -Geography -Social Studies -All grades (3rd-12th)
Learning Goals
Students will become more familiar with and well-versed in historical topics, history facts, world history, geography, or social studies. Students will be more prepared for research papers, tests, exams, and quizzes.

Hello! I'm an experienced homeschool mom and educator. I grew up in the Central Valley of California, surrounded by almond and walnut orchards. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in history and English from the University of California at Davis. As a homeschool parent and tutor, I have experience in a wide variety of curricula, styles of teaching, and the importance of meeting the needs of each indvidual student.
I love studying history, literature, and film. During my academic career, I took courses in 18th-19th century English history, modern US history, history through the novel, Irish literature, Shakespeare, 18th century English literature, and children's literature. I also love film studies and have studied film making quite a bit on my own in addition to taking courses on the Western (in all it's forms from spaghetti to Star Wars) and Alfred Hitchcock.
I have been a homeschool parent for the past twelve years as well as an online tutor and small group instructor.
I offer courses in history, geography, literature, English and film studies for 5th-12th graders.
During my time as a homeschool parent, I found I love working with emerging readers, so I also offer reading tutoring for the younger grades (K-4).
I value education and being a curious learner. The world is so large and amazing! We should all want to learn as much as we can about our history and culture that shapes us.
