1-on-1 Tutoring for English and Grammar

In this ongoing one-on-one class, we will work together to learn and understand the rules of grammar. We will use video clips, slides, discussion, and games to understand how language works. Learners will work at their own pace. We will play games and interact together to practice and master grade-level standards. 

The topics covered will include parts of speech, verb tenses, sentence structure, writing and expanding sentences, punctuation, word meanings, understanding rood words using prefixes and suffixes, and reading comprehension. 

Learners will be provided with class documents to print before class. Learners and their adults will also be welcome to provide work that the learner is working on in other learning environments for us to work on together. These materials should be provided at least 24 hours ahead of our meeting time. Please ensure that your learner has their documents for each class meeting. Much of the classwork will be based on these documents. 

I have years of experience working with learners with disabilities, so if your learners struggle, this is the place for them. We will work together to create a safe and enjoyable learning environment in which ALL learners achieve and succeed. I encourage parents to reach out and share with me any concerns that they have about their learner's abilities and progress.
