This class is a one time class. This class is English Second Language. Each class there will be four to five  words, phonics, and sentences. I will be using google slides.  I will introduce phonics by using flash cards. I will have the student to repeat several times. I will have vocabulary words. I will teach and have student repeat back. I will use TPR as much as possible. I will get the student to copy my TPR. I will use vocabulary words in a sentence frame. This will be taught by the I do, we do, you do method. I will do correction when student makes a mistake.  I will do conversational questions to see where the students communication knowledge is.  This is will be an interactive class with songs and video. I am certified in TESOL and TEFL. I teach ESL and English. There will be a lot of repetition in this class. There will be engagement in this class. Currently the lessons are geared toward beginner and intermediate levels.  I am currently working on lessons for the older learners that will mainly be focused on conversations, reading, and everyday life skills. My first lesson is introduction to feelings. This lesson will be an assessment lesson to help determine where the learner's level is. I have a program for beginners that works on letter recognition and phonics. I have lessons for phonic blends. I have lessons for early beginner readers with comprehension questions.  I can accommodate per parents request.  I will also work on writing with more advance learners. I will do my best to accommodate to the learner's needs. For advance readers: I will have lessons that will help with reading and writing a summary.  I will teach nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc. I am a certified teacher with Prek-6 grade and ESL certifications.  I offer tutoring based on my certifications and passion.  Please reach out to me  with your goals and expectations for your learner.  For ESL learners: the ages I work with is ages 3-6.  For reading and writing: the age I work with is 6-10. Free Talk is for all ages. It is helpful for the parent to communicate their goals for their learner prior to the first class.  This helps me as a tutor prepare the right lessons for your learner. Teacher Rules:  If you are assisting a learner, I ask that you do not answer for the learner.  I am alright with you assisting for translation. However, please allow the learner to answer on their own. I have this rule in order for me to be the teacher and assess the learner's understanding and knowledge. Please do your best to have the learner's environment with little distractions. This is so the learner is focused on listening and learning. If the learner is in a distracted area and it becomes hard  to teach the lesson, I will stop the class. There will be no refund if a class is stopped for learner being in a distracted area or being distracted with siblings.  If an assistant keeps answering questions for the learner without allowing the learner to answer on their own, I will stop the class. There will be no refund for a stopped class. If a learner is ten minutes late for class, teacher will end that time with no refund.  If you have an emergency, running late, or sick please reach out to me as soon as you can. I am very flexible and will adjust times, days, whatever you need. I understand things happen. I am a mother as well. I have family too. However, if your learner is a no show due to family illness and I wasn't notified before class start time, I will not refund or make up the class.  I know this may be harsh but I have had parents make this a habit, and I end up losing that time slot that could have been filled. Outschool is good with notifying a teacher when a learner isn't able to attend.
