Class Experience
Students in this one-on-one time will be able to ask questions directly to Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop and get help needed for classes related to Digital Media Arts. During these one-on-one sessions, students can expect to do design problem-solving tasks to help them prepare for industry or industry-based certification. Intended as a resource to help families for students who are taking classes like Digital Photography, Film and TV Production, Graphic Design, Audio/Video Production, Digital Communications, and similarly labeled courses related to the Arts, A/V Technology, and Communications industry, these one-on-one sessions can be single instance courses or taken over a long period of time. Each student can expect an individualized experience, but the one-on-one sessions can be expected to follow the following structure: 1) Opportunities to present questions encountered since the previous session 2) Review progress from the previous session. 3) Discuss possible techniques or troubleshooting related to 1 or 2 4) Determine the next steps for the student to progress through the project 5) Use the remaining time to work through some of those next steps / ask questions encountered 6) Recap needs for next session (if applicable) Families may also use this as a resource for specific instances or as needed to help progress further in the development and use of the program, with specific goals in mind for the 60-minute session. This is a student-led approach and will have the student present the problem as we look together at possible solutions. As an educator, I know that families can be frustrated looking for resources related to digital media and may not be equipped to have the answers they specifically need to accomplish everything. With over a decade of experience working with students related to Digital Media Arts as a certified teacher in AZ and TX, I will provide the same level of assistance that I have for my own students.
